What You'll Do
As our Accounts Payable & Donor Contributions Specialist, you'll play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate donor records. Your work will keep our mission running smoothly!
- Financial & Accounting Tasks:
- Process and track donations, grants, and payments efficiently.
- Manage bank deposits and ensure all contributions are recorded accurately.
- Handle accounts payable, including vendor invoices and reimbursements.
- Monitor cash flow, credit card expenses, and wire transfers.
- Maintain QuickBooks records and ensure compliance with financial policies.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports.
- Donor & Vendor Engagement:
- Send donor acknowledgment letters and tax receipts.
- Manage PayPal accounts and digital transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor records, process W-9s, and issue 1099s.
- Assist with fundraisers and financial reporting for special projects.
What We're Looking For
We need a detail-oriented, proactive team player who’s eager to grow in a nonprofit setting and committed to MFF's mission.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable/receivable. Nonprofit experience is a plus!
- Strong QuickBooks & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized, accountable, and team-oriented.

- Office Location: Encino, CA (In-person role – not remote)
- Reports to: Executive Director & Head of Accounting
- Work Hours: Mon-Fri: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- Salary: $70,000-$80,000 (DOE)
